Extended project description

The project started by the client defining the boundaries of the project. Within those boundaries we established a software environment, we identified all types of incoming data, and built a data stream model. Together these elements formed a geographical information system (GIS).

All the data layers were imported into a uniform database and were equipped with attributes that allowed them to be displayed on a map. In order to connect different sets of data and layers in the application we established data relations. After we covered all elements on the backend we designed the user interface in several phases. Once the application was finished we tested it and installed it in the environment of the client.

The application capabilities include display of different data layers, manipulating the view, a spreadsheet view of numerical data, turning on/off of different data layers, new data import for individual layers, and data analysis.
